“When painting or drawing, I often find myself lost in the moment. The process begins with an inkling of a preconceived notion but quickly moves into physical and emotional expressions. There is a visual conversation of color, line, shapes, and gestures designed from a collection of memories, observations, and feelings that when applied to canvas, paper, or other surfaces creates its own space. The artwork may not have any literal meaning except for the fact that it exists. However, stories often develop during the process and can tend to change with time. My work offers a way to wonder.”
